Lungthulien is a village of about 1,600 people situated just below the peak of one of the many beautiful, green hills of Northeast India. Lungthulien is located in the Southwest corner of the state of Manipur near the borders of Mizoram and Assam. Lungthulien is home to the Hmar tribe. The local people of Lungthulien are mainly subsistence farmers growing crops of wheat, rice, chilies, ginger and oranges. The primary mode of transportation in Lungthulien is walking.

Lungthulien Partner Mission School is a small school making a huge difference. Most of the people in this area have historically been uneducated, so this school is truly changing the future for the next generation. Lungthulien Partner Mission School has thirteen staff members and an enrollment of around 170 students.
