Parvachawm Elementary School

Parvachawm is a rural village of about 1,000 people nestled upon one of the many beautiful, green hills of Northeast India. Parvachawm is situated in the Southwest corner of the state of Manipur near the borders of Mizoram and Assam. Parvachawm is home to the Hmar tribe. The local people of Parvachawm are mainly farmers, growing crops of wheat, rice, chilies, and some grow ginger. The primary mode of transportation in Parvachawm is walking.
Parvachawm Partner Mission School is a small school making a huge difference. Historically this is an area where many of the people have not been formally educated, so this school is truly changing the future for the next generation. Parvachawm Partner Mission School has seven staff members and an enrollment of around 110 students.
