Senvon is a rural village of about 2,443 people. Senvon is literally the end of the line. There are many villages located along a winding mountain road in the Southwest Manipur, and Senvon is the last stop. Senvon is just up the hill from the Tuivai River, which is the border between the states of Manipur and Mizoram. Senvon is home to the Hmar tribe. The local people of Senvon are mainly subsistence farmers growing crops of wheat, rice, chilies, ginger and sometimes even pineapple. The primary mode of transportation in Senvon is walking.
Senvon Partner Mission School is a small school making a huge difference. The school has eight staff members and around 120 students. Senvon School is changing the future for the next generation, bringing help and hope to the town!
